ABOUT DEPARTMENT

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) was established in the year 2008 with an intake of 90. Over the years, it has grown by leaps & bounds and the current intake is 180. It has great potential with well qualified and committed teaching & non-teaching faculty members, headed by Dr. TELKAPALLI MURALI KRISHNA, the department has been part of various professional bodies like CSI, IUCEE, etc

Telkapalli Murali Krishna, completed Post Graduation in Master of Computer Applications (MCA) from Osmania University, Hyderabad, in the year 1998 in first division with distinction. Post Graduate in Master of Philosophy in Computer Science (M.Phil) from Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai in the year 2006. Post Graduate in Master of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering (M.Tech) from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur in the year 2010.

Started the research career from January, 2019 at Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai in the field of “Software Defect Prediction using Neuro Evolution Approach based on Artificial Neural Networks “ in the domain of Machine Learning and Software Testing. Published research work in various Journals in which 5 are in Scopus Indexed, 1 Web of Science and others are in under Non-Scopus Journals. Attended International Conferences (4), National Conferences (5), webinars (10), FDPs (15) and successfully completed 5 NPTEL courses. Got the PhD degree in Computer Science and Engineering in 2023. Dr. T.Murali Krishna is having more than 24 years of experience in teaching / research. Research Areas of Interest are Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Software Testing and Data Science.

M1: Facilitate learning in advanced technologies with the use of innovative methods and to be adaptable to shift socio-economic and environmental conditions with a well-equipped infrastructure.

M2: Provide strong theoretical and practical background across the computer science discipline with the emphasis on software development.

M4: Pursue the acquisition of knowledge, develop technologies, transform education, engage with academic and research institutions, cultivate ties with alumni, and Industry.

Program Educational Objectives (PEO’s):

PEO’s Description
PEO1 Develop professional skills necessary for immediate employment and subsequent studies in advance areas of computer science and related fields.
PEO2 Establish as competent professionals by solving real-world problems using computer science knowledge and focusing on teamwork, effective communication, critical thinking, and problem solving.
PEO3 Demonstrate the ability to adapt to a rapidly evolving world in computer science, grow in the field through lifelong learning, and embrace the professional code of ethics while consciously contributing to society without undermining the ecological balance.

Program Outcomes (PO’s):

PO’s PO Name Description
PO1 Engineering Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
PO2 Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
PO3 Design/Development of Solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
PO4 Conduct Investigations of Complex Problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
PO5 Modern Tool Usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modelling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
PO6 The Engineer and Society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
PO7 Environment and Sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.

1 Programming Lab

Equipped with DELL latest configured DESKTOP PC’s with licensed software that enables the students to program in C language. It covers various concepts of C programming language, searching and sorting algorithms, stacks and queues. It gives Ability to develop C programs for computing and real-life applications using basic elements like control statements, arrays, functions, pointers and strings, and data structures like stacks, queues and linked lists.

2 Operating Systems and DBMS Lab

Equipped with HCL latestconfiguredDESKTOP PC’s that enables the students to apply basic UNIX/LINUX commands to solve various software problems and to automate real time applications and also to create databases and provide different constraints by implementing techniques like PL/SQL, cursors and triggers. This Lab is utilized by the III, IV and VII Semester Students.

3 Cloud Computing and Web Technologies Lab

Equipped with LENOVO latest configured DESKTOP PC’s with licensed software that enables the students to analyze multi layered cloud architecture design along with their applications and challenges and develop dynamic web pages using client side programming and server side programming. This lab is utilized by the III, IV and VII Semester Students.

Equipped with LENOVO latest configured DESKTOP PC’s with licensed software that enables students to store voluminous data for online processing and Preprocess the data for mining applications and develop mobile applications using Android Studio. This Lab is utilized by the III, IV and VI Semester Students.

The main aim of this lab is to improve Communication Skills in formal and informal situations. It is also to impart training to students through the syllabus in its theoretical aspects and practical components. The lab is equipped with Advanced Systems which has high quality audio & video capabilities.
