About CM Skill Excellence Centers (CMSEC) :
In order to scale up and increase the number of skilled candidates in Engineering Colleges and increase the placements, APSSDC is planning to setup two labs namely Computing lab and Design, Automation, and Simulation labs with Augmented Reality/ Virtual Reality (AR/VR) under CMSEC to impart skills to the candidates in the college and other candidates selected by APSSDC and improve the placements opportunity
We are happy to note that Govt. of AP identified 100 Engineering colleges in AP as CM’s Skill Excellence Centers and ASHOKA WOMENS ENGINEERING COLLEGE (formerly known as Dr.K.V.Subba Reddy College of Engineering For Women) is one among them. This is done through Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC), in the form of establishing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) lab with 37 high configuration laptops and licensed software. This is useful to various departments in the college to organize python, Internet of Things (IOT), Cloud Architects, Fusion 360 professional, CATIA part design etc.. Kvsw gives utmost importance to the interaction with outside world for its faculty and students via all feasible platforms, and one among them is IUCEE, the Indo Universal Collaboration for Engineering Education (IUCEE) which is formerly Indo US Collaboration for Engineering Education. The Indo US Collaboration for Engineering Education (IUCEE) program which was conceptualized by over 150 leaders of engineering education and businesses from US and India in 2007 under Prof. Krishna Vedula, to help create good quality engineering talent in order to find solutions to the global challenges facing by humanity such as energy, environment, health and communications. IUCEE aims at contributing knowledge sources and learning opportunities to the mother land by collaborating with eminent Professors of Indian origin in the USA, visiting participant colleges in India and igniting Research.
kvsw initially followed the webinars organized by IUCEE through its awareness camps in South Indian Colleges on 2012. Later, kvsw became an official partner by joining with IUCEE as one of the active Consortium Colleges by having a MoU on 2018. From then several Invited lectures were conducted by us for the faculty and students, which includes the motivational talks by the legendary educationalists in the international arena, viz. the famous talk by Dr.Vijayakrishnan Narayanan, Professor of Pennsylvania State University, USA on 2015.
Kvsw also have an APSSDC-IUCEE Chapter, a common platform for the Skills Development via International experts. The vision of IUCEE- AP Chapter is to improve the quality and global relevance of engineering education and research in India, which is also in line with the Vision and Mission of kvsw.
Kvsw is planning to conduct several student based activities offered by IUCEE in the name of SCALE (Student Consortium for Advancement and Scaling in Engineering Education) in the near future. As kvsw has more experienced faculty, it encourages them to submit their academic observations throughout their career to share as technical papers on Teaching Learning in Engineering Education via ICTIEE, an International Conference on Transformations in Engineering Education.
We conduct all IUCEE webinars in one of our webinar halls equipped with necessary display, PA systems with high-speed internet for live streaming.
